Luther Dickinson

Luther Dickinson On Cigar Box Guitar     Hailed by Rolling Stone as "one of the new guitar gods", Luther Dickinson is the front man of the North Mississippi Allstars and the lead guitarist for The Black Crowes. He has also recorded his southern-style blues guitar with John Medeski and Robert Randolph (as The Word), The Replacements, Mojo Nixon, Beck, & John Hiatt.

Dickinson refers to his first cigar box guitar as the "Mississippi Pimp Stick." It's actually a Lowebow (a Shorty II model to be exact), created by one-man-band & builder Johnny Lowe. It has two strings on an externally mounted broomstick neck. Luther also has a 2nd CBG given to him by Mike Orr at Built2Last.
