In December of 2008 my wife & I escaped the cold midwest winter to Jamaica, spending
the final 4 days of our trip at the Caribbean Holidaze festival.
I had never heard of Toubab Krewe, but I found their name amusing (toubab is a West African term for "white person"), and
my wife was familiar with them, so we took a bus to the Hedonism III resort to catch their show.
The show was excellent, an eclectic instrumental fusion of traditional Mali music with a western jam-band mentality.
