The Piezoelectric Banjo is powered by a 30¢ crystal glued to the underside of some sort of sauce pan lid thing. The fanned frets confuse the eye but not the fingers. The reversed drone string, held at the fretboard end by a model railroad spike, eliminates the thumb obstacle of typical 5-string banjos.
