A stick & some strings. The strings are held at the headstock by crystal holders from a chandelier mounted on a train-flattened penny. The design accommodates both ball-end and loop-end type strings. It is amplified by a small piezo crystal embedded in the center of the bridge.

I like your solution for a headless violin. I am in the middle of an electric violin project for my daughter, and have been trying to come up with a good solution for the head. This gives me something more to think about.

Steve, I tried to keep the scale length and hand-stop the same as a standard 4/4 violin.

Im just wondering, what is the total length and how does it compare to the actual length of a fiddle?
